More beautiful than words could ever say.
Hello everyone. How are you doing this Monday? I hope you are doing well and your week is starting at least relatively normal or what you want it to be. I didn't do too much today. I kind of had a boring day, but I must say it was very exhausting though. I was required, by my doctor, to go do an EEG to see if I am having seizures in my sleep. So I had to be sleep deprived for the test. I was told I had to stay up majority of the day Sunday, go to bed Midnight on Monday and then wake up at 4am Monday morning for the test at 10 a.m. I was really thrilled that I did it, but it made me a bit cranky and short tempered kind of and also it did make me just want to crash everywhere I sat down or stopped. Lol. It was kind of embarrassing after the EEG. To read your brain waves the EEG technician has to put these little metal circles upon your scalp. She has to basically scratch your scalp with a dull needle and inject this goo that enables the machine to pick up the brain waves and send it to the machine. Well I must say the needle hurt bad. I don't remember it hurting that bad the last time I got an EEG done, but this time...I won't forget it. Lol. :-P

Anyways, so afterwards they give you a towel and they let you attempt, even though its not possible, to get as much 'gel' out of your hair. So I went to the bathroom and basically put my head into the sink in the restroom to get as much gel out. I got majority of it. The thing is you come out looking like you literally just got hit by a lightning bolt. Your hair is sticking up in places and just scattered everywhere from when she takes the cap that is upon your head during the text, off. It's just funny and I did enjoy it. I do not like hospitals though and my roomie who took me to my appointment agrees. I just have been around hospitals so much since the 7th grade, when I started having my seizures. Before that though, my sister had a lot of problems with her minor case of Cerebral Palsy and then with her seizures 'til she was 5. I have just been around hospitals so much that it is no joke. I just don't like them all that well. I do appreciate though what they do. :-)

The nurse that had me today for example, was very polite, easygoing and funny. :-D I liked her a lot and I do hope that if I ever have to do another EEG there, I will get a chance to do the test with her. Woot! Tomorrow I am going back to work from not being there since last Thursday. I had to miss work Thursday of last week, Friday, and then today. I have so many doctor notes to get to my boss. It's crazy. I have like 3 notes I have to give her!! :-P Yeah...thats a lot. I'm just ready to start working again and just get back to normal life and not this sick one. I hate being sick.
When was the last time you were sick??
